This kitchen was for a home remodel in Newton, Iowa. The wood used is quarter sawn red oak which gave the project a very unique look. If you unsure of truly what quarter sawn wood is click on wood choices to the left and their is a full definition and pictures to better explain. The doors and drawers are inset, and the drawers feature through dovetails with a portion of the dovetail exposed on the front of the drawer. This was a detail that the customer requested and Custom Woodworks delivered. The kitchen also has a end grain hard maple butcher block countertop that has a natural mineral oil finish so that it can be used for food preperation.
